Conquering Fears and Celebrations!

So here's an a little update about me:

1.  My parents bought me a car!  A used 2002 Mini Cooper that looks just like this:

I'm really excited about it, however it's a 5 speed and I am not so good driving a manual.  I haven't driven a manual in years and I'm not that very good at it because I don't have much experience.  Makes sense right?  Well, tomorrow I have to drive my car back from Miami to Jax and although my dad will be with me I'm still fearful that I'll somehow screw up and fail thus making him incredibly mad and yell at me.  This is what happens when you fail in our family, people are mad and disappointed.. thus my need to always be right and perfect.  Ughh!  So dear reader pray for me as I drive home tomorrow!!

2.  Since my post about my surgery I've had an adjustment or fill.  This is where my doctor sticks a needle in my port, which located right above my belly button and inject saline into my band and tighten it.  Unfortunately what they don't tell you when you have your surgery is that when you have an adjustment you have to go on a liquid diet for 3 days!! And of course I had my fill the friday before 4th of July.  Just my luck!  Anyways since my adjustment I've lost 10 lbs bringing my total to:  34 lbs! :)

Not a great pic but it's the latest!  I can't really tell where the 34 lbs came from and I don't know how I look differently but I've been told I do!

3.  I applied for grad school this past week.  It's completely online except for 2 intensives which are at the beginning and the end of my program and located here in Jax!

4.  I got a internship.  Check, make that 2! I got a paid internship with one of my sorority sister's parents business.  Her mom owns and runs the website:  www.biganimaloncampus.com  which is just like a fb and college for pets.  And the other is I get to practice my counseling! Whoo hoo! :)

5.  Lucy (my friend from England) came to visit last week.  We had a blast and it was way too long since I last seen her.  She's been gone a week already and I miss her like whoa!! hehe
